Investing Personality

Investing money involves taking a degree of risk. The risk of course is loss of the money (capital) invested. But leaving money in bank and credit union accounts earning little or no interest carries risk also. Here, the risk is that inflation will erode the value of that money over time.

There are many categories of investments. Commodities like gold, oil and even cryptocurrencies are readily accessible across many investment platforms.

Property, mutual funds, ETF’s and even money markets are others.

But before investment decisions are made, it is very important to understand the risk involved.

The following profile test poses some essential questions that can quickly assess your risk appetite. The outcome can help you decide on the level of risk that you can tolerate. Or, it prompts you to learn more about various investment options. Either way, whatever investment choice you decide on, make sure it is one you are entirely comfortable with.

This quiz isn’t meant to reach any definitive answers about your investing personality. A longer quiz with more detailed questions could lead to a different conclusion about your investing personality. What’s more, your personality may vary over time, depending not only on your life stage but how you’re feeling on a given day. But we do hope you find the quiz engaging and helpful in identifying some of the issues that could be influencing your investment decisions.
